Installing BuddyPress is as simple as 1-2-3.
- Download and install WordPress.
- Head to your “Plugins > Add New” menu in wp-admin. Search and install ‘BuddyPress’.
- Make sure you have permalinks enabled on your WordPress install, then activate a BuddyPress compatible theme. There is an awesome bundled theme you can enable under “Appearance”.
You’re all done! If you want to enable the group forums support you can follow the instructions under “BuddyPress > Forums Setup”.
To set up extra profile fields for your users, you have to add them from the admin area of WordPress, under the BuddyPress menu items. Your users will do most of their activities from the front end of your site.
